How do I give away an item?
- Open the app
- Tap the + button
- Add a photo and short description
- Choose a meeting spot
- Publish — that’s it
How do I request an item?
- Tap any item you want
- Send a message to the giver
- Agree on a meeting time and location
- Meet and collect the item
Is Deela free to use?
Yes — giving and getting items is 100% free.
Is food allowed?
Yes, as long as it’s sealed and safe to share.
Always use common sense.
What are Lingonberries?
Lingonberries are Deela’s internal appreciation points.
You can earn them by giving items and spend them inside the app.
Troubleshooting
I’m not receiving verification emails
- Check your spam folder
- Make sure your email is typed correctly
- Try again after a few minutes

The app is slow or something isn’t loading
- Try closing and reopening the app
- Update to the latest version
- Check your internet connection
A user didn’t show up
You can mark the item as “No Show” inside the app.
If someone repeatedly breaks rules, report them
Reporting a Problem
If something goes wrong or a user behaves badly, please report it directly through the item or profile:
- Go to the user’s profile
- Tap Report
- Select the reason
